I am a Lino printer based in the beautiful Tamar Valley in Cornwall. I am hugely influenced by my surroundings and I also have a love of pattern and colour. I can usually be found in my rather chaotic studio with ink stained fingers, a cup of tea and a cat or two.
Trained in Fashion and Textiles, Gilly’s love of pattern and colour shines through in her work. The intense printing inks, strong Japanese paper and Lino suit her highly decorative and fluid style.
I primarily print using the reduction method. I use one block of Lino and carve it away progressively between each colour layer. This results in a limited edition print that can never be repeated.
